The Music: You’ve probably heard Röyksopp’s “Remind Me” from the duo
‘s 2001 album Melody A.M. before; the original album version was used by a caveman to sell auto insurance to great effect in the States, though the above version is “Someone Else’s Radio Remix” off of the single. A cavalcade of industrial-sounding, catchy beats with a chugging bassline offsets the lilting vocals of this piece quite nicely. Good Röyksopp tracks generally have the effect of making me want to tear down a mountain using a woolly mammoth tusk as a snowboard, speed through traffic on a motorcycle, and parkour my way through a abandoned trainyard at midnight, and this version of “Remind Me” delivers.
The Video: Pure brilliance. What more can I say? Not only do the infographics complement the rhythmic, industrial feel to the music, they also bring a sense of
postmodern detachment to an average day in an average life. You’ve gotta wonder what the significance is of the two-second shot of our character’s face at 3:29. What’s she thinking? Is she satisfied with the life of a worker drone in the great beehive of Londontown? Or perhaps she’s contemplating her larger place in the great puzzle
of life, as the scope of the infographics suggest?

I can't even begin to choose the element of Christina Aguilera's rendition of the National Anthem that incited more derision and contempt amongst the audience of Super Bowl XLV.
