About Us

Mystery Tricycle is a music blog written by a group of friends, mostly from the Pittsburgh metro area. We are a financial blackhole self-funded organization of smartass young adults twenty-somethings whose evil anarchist scheme benevolent goal is to takeover the music industry and the rest of corporate America promote creativity and independent music amongst intellectual listeners.

If you are interested in being one of our pretentious authors, kindly go to hell let us know! Questions, suggestions and comments will be pretentiously happily received on our contact page.

Technical Notes:

This site uses Flash. If you are on an iPhone or iPad that can’t view it, then you are probably pretentious enough as it is, anyways.

This website is running WordPress v3.0.1 – the most elegant, poetic and beautiful CMS/blogging platform on the planet. We hug it regularly, take it on walks, and only feed it the best binary content that internet piracy money can buy. Desktop browsers are using a heavily modified version of SimplexMagazine 1.0 developed by sin2384. Mobile users are spending to much time on their damn “Smartphones” using WordPress Mobile Pack v1.2.3 by James Pearce. The Mystery Tricycle logo and other clipart is courtesy of the Florida Center for Instructional Technology Clipart ETC. Also, since we had to remove the in-code credit for our layout to work, a special thanks to BlogsDNA for the wonderful related post plugin, WP-Thumbie.

We are running a whole stinky, sweaty mess of plugins (around 24 total), but some of the major ones that make us groove are Akismet v2.4.0 by Automattic, All in one SEO Pack v1.6.12.2 by Michael Torbert, Audio Player v2.0.4.1 by Martin Laine, ShareThis v4.0.4 by Manu Mukerji, LightBox Plus v2.2 by Dan Zappone, wp-Typography v2.0.2 by Jeffrey D. King, and WP Super Cache v0.9.9.6 by Donncha O. Caoimgh.

For the countless development hours associated with the aforementioned, we pretentiously give our thanks.
